Our Story

About Us

Elizabeth Dillon offers a unique background in supporting and assisting her customers. With practical experience both as a RCRA waste program manager for a large after market auto parts business, and as a RCRA/DOT trainer for a large hazardous waste TSD, she can speak to both sides of the process. The goal of Wildflower Consulting is to support businesses that manage hazardous materials and generate hazardous waste so that they can stay compliant and ensure that their employees are safe, not just check a box. Don’t rely on company “auditors” or just training, have a partner that knows the rules and the industry create a program that works for your business.

What We Can DO FOr You

Wildflower Consulting provides fee-for-service consulting for generators of hazardous waste. If you have a question or want a resource to call to research and answer questions, use a resource that has extensive experience managing a program, working with TSDs, shipping hazardous materials and waste. A one-stop-shop of services.

program assessment

Don’t rely on internal company auditors to determine if the hazardous waste management program is compliant, bring in someone who can review your program in its entirety and provide concise guidance to improve the management of the program.

audits

  • Walk-thru of facility to review where hazardous waste is generated, accumulated and stored.
  • Review of all documentation including waste determinations/profiles, LDR,
manifests, training policies and emergency preparedness, prevention, and contingency plans.
  • Review of federal and state regulations, deficiencies, and corrective guidance.
  • Formal written report with photos and recommendations

training

Wildflower offers a variety of training opportunities for your consideration. Firmly based in hazardous waste management, based on 5 years of program management and 6 years of training experience, we bring the training that you need to you.

We focus on your company’s operations, your state specific rules, and can recommend the training that you and your teams need. Training topics include:

RCRA for hazardous waste management.

DOT HazMat for hazardous materials transportation.

OSHA 8-hour hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HazWoper/HWPR)

HAZARDOUS WASTE / RCRA

EPA’s RCRA requires employees of large quantity generators who manage hazardous waste receive annual training LQG, (40 CFR 262.17(a)(7)) and recommended the same for small and very small generators regularly to stay compliant with new rules as well as the basic regulatory requirements. Some states require all generators to document some relevant training as well.

Ensuring that your employees understand the specific management standards, both at the federal and state level, will improve daily handling and safety around the waste.

TRANSPORTATION GUIDANCE

Training is required for anyone who performs functions regulated by the US DOT.  Understanding the hazardous materials table, marking and labeling requirements as well as when to placard are all covered for transportation by highway is necessary for shipping both hazardous waste and all hazardous materials. The correct completion of shipping papers is also a part of this training and should also be included in any hazardous waste RCRA training that your employees receive. This training is required every three years.

ESG Guidance

Beyond sustainability, businesses are now concerned with ESG, Environmental, Social and Governance factors in the way their operations affect society and the world. Recycling is no longer the goal; it is the expectation.

Wildflower can help you identify gaps in inventory management, vendor relationships, donation versus disposal opportunities, and identify community engagement avenues not
currently being used.
